Hey It’s Hot. Why Not Buy A House With A Pool?

Well that is blatant selling in a headline.  Must be the heat.  I called one of my clients yesterday who was sitting by her pool while the AC was barely keeping up in the office.  Here is where she was sitting.

So pools aren’t as poplar in the Portland area because of our rain and cooler months.  But when days like this come by, you really, really have to be glad you have one.  And according to my clients the pools are pretty easy to keep up.  Here is a link to the home in Vista Hills with pictures of the pool and the upkeep she does.  I think homes with pools are like convertibles that you only think about how great they are when the right weather comes.

Below is a home I have listed in Rock Creek.

This home sits on the Rock Creek Golf Course.

Both of these homes are in prime locations with gorgeous backdrops.  Most pools have a cedar fence of questionable repair or neighbors can see you in your pool.  With both of these homes, you have seclusion and privacy.  So where you will hear that pools are a negative, I think it depends.  The right setting, the right neighborhood and I think all of that changes.

Nothing is absolute.  What may be considered a positive or negative by one is not by another.  On one property, everyone loved that there was a park across the street, except for one guy.  He didn’t like it because of that park.

So besides this being a blatant plug for my listings with pools, there is also a lesson that If the rest of the home shines perceived negatives don’t stand out as much.
