Couple Sues Google Over Street Map View

To the left is a “Steet View” of one of my previous listings. My yard sign will be there in perpetuity. You can actually use the arrows and travel up and down streets as well as spin around 360 degrees to see what is around you. This is great for people to get a feel for an area and I have used to help me park downtown. It is an interesting feature with a lot of helpful uses, unless you are this couple.

The couple is suing google for taking pictures on a Private Drive which makes sense. You aren’t supposed to be on the road and there are pictures to prove someone was there. It will most likely get settled out of court since it would probably cost google $25,000 to defend themselves.

Other complaints about Google Streetview,

I have heard stories of people getting caught being places they said they weren’t. In the 15 images above there are two guys in front of “places of ill repute.” Big Brother is here and Enemy of the State is more real than we imagined. There are uses for us but it shows where are technology can go.

Google Earth has satellite pictures that show my first home being built and my friend could pick his car out a parking lot from a previous job. I wonder if I should use it to help with roof inspections?
