Somehow I completely missed the blossoms. I was at an inspection yesterday and finally when I was on the second floor with a tree in my face, I saw the blossoms. From there on I saw them everywhere. My street is lined with them, much like this picture I took while I was in Gresham today, and I still missed it.
This goes along with, “We see what we want to see.” Or at least we should take the time look around and see what is going on.
I doubt the blossoms popped at 4:04 pm yesterday. If someone had asked me if the blossoms had arrived I probably would have said that it was too cold and we were still a few weeks away. Now I can’t believe I missed them and wonder how long they have been there staring me in the face.
I try to be balanced with my opinions and take in a lot of different view points but this is a brilliant example that we are not the best judges of whether or not we are seeing everything.
Have a great weekend.
