Want To Complain About Your Neighbors?

Update: I guess this site is no longer available.

Rottenneighbor.com will let you say anything you want about your bad neighbors. Some people throw good comments up there but really most are only going there to read bad comments or post the bad comments.

I would imagine that this site will go down sometime in the future. A recent website aimed at people giving information about college students came down because it was used to put out slanderous notices.

This site will allow the same thing as I saw a comment that someone abuses her daughter. How long can people put out unsubstantiated information before a lawsuit pops up? The dirty yards and barking dogs are easy to find out and prove.

This woman is nuts, people have called the police on her. If she gets wind of who you are she chases you in her car and tries to run you off the road. She is verbally abusive. Her kids are also out of control.

Below is the map next to the comment with a marker on the house. I blurred the street names, just because.

Bad neighbors are a problem that isn’t easy to remedy. I have had clients talk to neighbors and that has had mixed results. One thing that I suggest is driving through the neighborhood on Friday and Saturday evenings. Nothing is perfect but you can’t get anyone evicted that you don’t like and you can’t give a 30 day notice.

I see rottennieghbor.com getting abused more than being helpful. It is as fun as a tabloid to read, just don’t look in your neighborhood, you might be in there.

  1. Of course people will point out unsubstantiated claims about a neighbor. What to say that a claim is valid? Some guy located in New York could easily post negative comments about a resident in Portland, Oregon. Thanks to tools Google’s Street Image, there is more revealing information about our residences.
