The DISC profile shows your superpowers and strengths. Taken too far, those superpowers are your weaknesses.
Superman’s strength comes from leaving Krypton, his home planet, and living on Earth. Pieces of radioactive rock from Krypton were his weakness.
The High D gets things done but can sometimes leave a path of destruction behind them if they aren’t noticing the people that are affected by their decisions. The High I loves everyone but breaks down if they don’t think everyone loves them. They get so locked into winning that they aren’t sure if the task is worth winning.
The High S will help anyone and everyone until they break. Then they explode as that’s the only thing that gives them the strength to stand up for themselves and they burn some bridges leaving them with what they fear most, instability and lack of harmony.
The High C wants to know things so well that they are never wrong and can live up to the high standards they have set for themselves and others. Have you ever heard the expression, “The more you learn, the more you realize you don’t know.”? This is what pulls High C’s into a pit of constant learning. In theory it’s to take the proper actions but they are never sure so they don’t take action. Analysis paralysis is their weakness.
It’s easier to avoid the traps if you know them.
