This hit me the other day. High D’s want competition, they want to win which means they need someone to lose. They can’t stand the idea of having trophies for everyone. Without the scoreboard, they, and they assume everyone else, won’t try as hard and give it their all.
High S’s wants harmony and for everyone to be happy. Everyone gets trophies and McDonald’s after the game! Yay! Let’s just have a good time. Like Rasheed Wallace said, “Both team played hard.”
I will let others argue about the merits of either side but it makes sense why these two profiles see things so differently in this case and what they ultimately try to do which is make better kids.
