Bright Shiny Friday

Depending on the forecast you watch we are headed for about 70 degrees today, 75 tomorrow and high 60’s on Sunday. And I am ready for it. This has been a long week which is why there haven’t been any new posts. I listed two new homes over the weekend. Since I started doing single property (SP) websites I take more pictures because I don’t know which one will look best.

I know what looks good in the RMLS listings but the SP’s let me do so much more. I am still adding features to them but I looked at the folders and there are 230+ photos for one and 250+ for the other. I take different angles, play with setting options and take any photo that I think could be interesting. I also take them at high resolution (I will explain why next week maybe) and then resize them. So cut the total number of photos by at least half. But when looking for the best photo it makes my search harder and longer.

I gave these their own domain names which some say is good and others say it is bad. I will test it against another listing that I have but as a subdomain which looks like this:

http://www.18556swhart.mikecandoit.com

I would guess that the first two are easier to remember but supposedly adding on to my domain name helps search results because mikecandoit.com has been around since 2003. This will be a good test to see what is best. Though it is easier to write and tell others the simple address. A funny aside, twice in the last month, when I gave someone my email address, they thought my last name was Candoit. Mike Candoit. Funny how we try to make things fit a pattern.

So I am back and will be posting more normally next week if not this weekend but with the sun out I think I have been on the computer enough. And hopefully we get some good action on the new listings from my late hours at the computer.

I will have a post from Seth Harris of IndyMac Bank on increasing your credit score. Credit scores are back to being very relevant and that should be up on Monday.
