Some of the terms are methods to avoid foreclosure, but there is not enough information about when they are available, etc. Bankruptcy (Ch 13) will always work, but only if the borrower can now afford to make regular payments timely again. Also, there are a host of laws that apply to home loans and a review of the loan documents and the advice of an attorney experienced in the area is probably the best source of appropriate information.
