But here are a few quick notes on the auction from another agent in the office.
You had to have a cashiers check to walk in the door.
The “valued” price of one home I checked was above what it had been listed for.
Every home did sell by the time I talked to the agent, though the auctioneer said to hang around because some might come back on the auction block.
There was a 5% advertising fee added the final auction price.
One other home I quickly checked was sold for about 18% less than list price. A savings but not a huge one.
I will have more on Monday when I can get more information from the agent. I will look at “valued” prices and compare them with list prices as well as talk about the pricing history of the homes. One auction home was listed for (about) $424,000 then $475,000 then back to $424,000.
Be back Monday afternoon for more.
