30 cars find their tires slashed this morining in the Rock Creek Neighborhood.

Nike may cut up to 4% of it’s work force.   

The Company anticipates completing its review of its organization by the end of the current fiscal year. The exact number, timing and location of positions expected to be eliminated will not be known until the review is completed and employee representative bodies have been consulted within accordance with local legal requirements.

This reminds me of when Intel announced a couple of years ago that they were going to layoff 10,000 people.  18 months later they hadn’t done many layoffs but morale was down because no one new when they or someone might get the axe.  These announcements seem to be more for shareholders than morale.

You knew it was coming.  After reporting a $2.8 Billion loss the US Postal Service will raise rates 2 cents in May.   I really expected it to be more.

Why does Muzak have $437 million in debt? They are going to join Sirius XM Radio in preparing to file for bankruptcy as they have $1 billion in debt due this year.  And to think there were two companies competing for that market.
